Furnished and fully equipped for both luxury and comfort, the property provides everything for a perfect Self Catering Holiday and is located in the picturesque, historical town of Kelso, regarded as one of the most charming and beautiful towns in the Scottish Borders complete with cobbled streets, market square, elegant Georgian buildings and of course the River Tweed and Teviot which are well known for their spectacular fishing.

Kelso and surrounding areas offer some of Scotlands finest fishing, shooting and outdoor pursuits. Stichill Mains is in the perfect location to explore the great outdoors. If it is peace and tranquility your looking for, you will not be disappointed.

Kelso is an area with a wealth of history. We are ideally situated for all of the Border Abbeys, Kelso Abbey being one of them. Also Floors Castle which is the home of the Duke of Roxburghe. Many Historical houses and the famous Roxburghe Championship golf course are nearby. The Cheviot Hills offer vast opportunities for walkers, cyclist (facilities for bike storage available on site) and keen nature ramblers. The surrounding open country side is a haven for wildlife. Otters, ospreys and many rare species can be spotted.

Inside: Entrance hall. Family lounge with wall mounted TV, comfortable sofas and arm chairs, large kitchen/dining room 46”x17” with a dining table to seat 12, fridge, freezer, double oven and hob, microwave and a wall mounted 50” flat screen. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, double sink and rear entrance door.

The property has 4 large bedrooms, 3 of which are suites complete with sofas flat screen TV, hair dryers and bath/shower room. The 4th bedroom is a large double with a separate family bathroom complete with flat screen TV, sofa and chairs for your leisure. We also have a viewing window where you can sit and relax, read you paper and take in the view.

Outside: In and out gravel driveway with lots of parking, double patio doors from the kitchen/diner lead to a large walled patio area complete with BBQ and garden furniture.

Kelso Golf Club

Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Kelso , the parkland course is renowned for the quality of its greens and fairways. At just over 6000 yards long, and relatively flat, the course offers a good challenge to golfers of all abilities without being too physically demanding.

Roxburghe Golf Course

The only championship-standard 18-hole course in the Scottish Borders, designed by the Dave Thomas, challenges the best whilst giving pleasure to all. This 7100 yard 72-par course follows natural contours, mature beech woods, dramatic water hazards, and uses clever bunkering to spectacular effect making this a "must play" venue.

St Boswells Golf Club

Idyllically set on the south bank of the River Tweed, adjoining a site of scientific importance, this 9 hole course enjoys an environment which enables the golfer to absorb a relaxed playing atmosphere which adds to the whole golfing experience.

Hirsel Golf Club

This parkland course offers visitors beautiful views of the surrounding Borders countryside, and has been described by some commentators as ‘the Augusta of the Borders'.

Duns Golf Club

18 hole golf course on lower slopes of Hardens Hill. The Wellrig burn runs through the course and comes into play on several of the holes. There are 2 or 3 short climbs but otherwise the course has gentle slopes and gives lovely views of the countryside.

Torwoodlee Golf Club

Situated just outside Galashiels in the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside, with over 100 years of history, Torwoodlee is a picturesque 18-hole 6,021 yrd, par 69 golf course. Flanked by the River Gala and set amoungst a mix of mature woodland and rolling parkland, it is one of the most challenging golf courses in the Scottish Borders.
