Brooklands House Guesthouse, slumbers in a quiet corner of Rondebosch / Rosebank. This Edwardian Villa was built over a hundred years ago and exudes and aura of understated English country elegance.

Breakfasts are served in the open plan kitchen area, while in summer guests eat in the glorious garden or beside the pool, with wonderful view of Rhodes Memorial. The hospitable well travelled owners have a keen interest in wine and besides an interesting collection of wines, have planted a small Shiraz vineyard beside the boules court.

The guest house is ideally situated within walking distance of Newlands rugby and cricket grounds. A 10 to15 minute drive to either the airport or the centre of Cape Town and waterfront, and just further 10 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. For the keen golfer there are several golf courses within 5km of Brooklands House. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is only ten minutes drive and both Newlands Rugby and Newlands Cricket grounds are within 20 minutes walk.

Brooklands House now also has a 12 seated conference room inclusive morning and afternoon tea, light lunch at R 355.00 per delegate ( min R 1500.00 per day ).

Rondebosch Golf Club - 18 holes Par 72 5712 m
The course is criss-crossed by canals and is fairly hilly in places. As is true of most courses in the Cape, this one has two faces. In winter, there is the northwest wind to contend with and in summer, the course grits its teeth against the notorious Southeaster. The canals necessitate some long carries over water; (a word of warning - they can be wider than they look!), and you will be hitting shots to greens both below and above you

Steenberg Golf Club - 18 holes Par 72 6115m
Steenberg is a new exclusive course set in the Constantia winelands outside Cape Town. Designed by Peter Matkovich, this 18 hole championship golf course meanders leisurely through the Steenberg vineyards, pine forests and gentle waterways, providing a challenge for golfers of all levels

Mowbray Golf Club
Set in a very central area - about 15 minutes from the Waterfront and Cape Town's International Airport - Mowbray is a parkland course, which provides an excellent test of golf. The terrain is flat, but plenty of trees and water features make for an interesting experience, with the beauty of the mountain and abundant wild life dominating the scenery.

Milnerton Golf Club
The terrain is quite flat and has no trees. The view of Table Mountain, however, is breathtaking. Another attraction are the many waterbirds on the bordering lagoon. One plays nine holes out and nine holes back to the club house

Metropolitan Golf Club
At the Metropolitan Golf Club you enjoy your game in the most centrally situated green belt of Cape Town. Adjacent to the V&A Waterfront (5 minute walk) with magnificent views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. The Metropolitan course is officially a 9 hole course but a variety of greens and tee's result in a different challenge on the second round
