Their beautiful Cape Colonial guest house, located on the main road into Knysna, approx.1.5 kms from the centre of town and waterfront is within easy walking distance of both and has stunning views of the picturesque Knysna Lagoon & Heads.

Hide-Away Guest House is the ideal place to simply relax or from which to explore the many sights of Knysna and the scenic Garden Route. Knysna is surrounded by a paradise of indigenous forests, mountains, lakes and spectacular beaches and nestles on the banks of a tranquil estuary. Day trips can be taken to spectacular Tsitsikamma National Park, Plettenberg Bay, Wilderness, George, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.

ACCOMMODATION AT HIDE AWAY GUEST HOUSE - KNYSNA

We offer you a choice of comfortable well-appointed rooms. The two Executive Rooms on the ground floor and the three Superior Rooms on the first floor offer impressive views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads. Two additional Superior Rooms are located in the Main House.

All rooms have been tastefully furnished and have en-suite bathrooms with shower, DSTV, mini bar, tea/coffee tray, hairdryers, clock radios, air conditioning, fans, heaters, electric blankets (in winter) and gowns. Telephone services, complimentary wireless Internet and laundry facilities are available.

Scrumptious breakfasts – ordered from a menu the night before - are served on the verandah or in the dining room between 08.00 and 10.00. Breakfasts are not buffet style but rather served individually to your table. You can also chill out around the swimming pool or sit on the verandah and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set or possibly catch a glimpse of the elusive Knysna Loerie. And for the more energetic, a small gym is also available.

Golf - Knysna has three magnificent courses: Simola, Pezula Championship Course (formerly Sparrebosch) and Knysna Golf Club.

Knysna Golf Course

Nestled on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon and close to the looming Heads, the Knysna Golf Club's 18-hole course meanders through tidal pools and between magnificent indigenous trees. An interesting parkland layout which has been enhanced over the past ten years, it has some of the best bent grass greens in the Southern Cape. Although flat and easy to walk, the course still provides players of all levels with a good challenge and is an affordable golfing experience not to be missed while touring the area.

Pezula Championship Golf Course

Pezula Championship Golf Course adjacent to Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine Southern Cape landscape. The breathtaking, award-winning 18-hole course which was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of Golf Plan USA, rates amongst the best and the most scenic golf courses in the world.

Simola Golf Course

Keeping your head down at Simola can be a challenge; simply because the views around the course are awe-enspiring, and with this, it is clear to see why Simola takes its place as one of South Africa's premier golfing destinations. It's also the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the Garden Route, reflecting the maestro's philosophy of attuning the layout and design to the natural lie of the land.
